How I Support Our Clients

My mission is to ensure every client feels heard, supported, and valued throughout their disability claim journey. We advocate on their behalf, help navigate communication with insurance companies, and provide the guidance and service they deserve. Above all, we want our clients to feel confident that they came to the right place for help.

What I Find Most Rewarding

I have always had a desire to help others and make a difference. This work gives me the opportunity to fulfill that purpose by supporting people during a time when they truly need someone in their corner. The most rewarding part of what I do is knowing that my work can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

My Background

I began my career as a teacher, where my passion for helping others started with supporting children. When I moved to North Carolina, I was given the opportunity to continue that passion in a new way by helping adults navigate Social Security disability claims.

I started in intake and worked my way into a paralegal position. For more than 10 years, I dedicated my career to the Social Security disability field, helping clients navigate the process from the initial application through appeals and, when necessary, federal court.

Throughout my career, I have always followed one guiding principle: this is the client's livelihood. Behind every claim is a real person who may be facing financial uncertainty, health challenges, stress, and fear of the unknown. My job is to help carry some of that burden. I want to provide answers when I can, reduce the stress of the process, and, just as importantly, be a good listener when someone simply needs to be heard.

My motto is simple: "I take the fight where the fight needs to be." To me, that means leaving no stone unturned and continuing to advocate for my clients throughout the process as they pursue the benefits they deserve.

At the end of the day, this work is about more than disability claims. It is about people. It is about their livelihoods, their families, and helping them feel that they have someone in their corner when they need it most.  

Outside of the Office

Outside of my work, family is incredibly important to me. We love spending time together in the kitchen, and cooking has become such a passion that our kitchen sometimes feels like a commercial one. I'm especially proud of my homemade marinara sauce! I'm also passionate about animals and rescue dogs. My beloved Aubrey Ann is a rescue, and I believe every animal deserves a safe and loving home. If space and my husband allowed it, I would happily take them all!
