Paul Kampfer has focused his career on protecting and assisting the disabled, with a special focus on ERISA and Non-ERISA disability cases. For almost 10 years, Mr. Kampfer has worked on all aspects of long term disability cases from beginning to end. He has experience handling claims at all stages of the claims administration process including preparing initial applications, monitoring long-term disability claims once approved, drafting administrative appeals, and litigation, when necessary.
He received his B.S. in Biology from Union College. He received his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School. While in law school, Mr. Kampfer won the 2004 New York State Bar Association Law Student Legal Ethics Award for Albany Law School.

Outside of the office Paul’s interests include following and rooting for his favorite sports teams – the New York Mets and New York Giants, travelling the world and spending time with family and friends.
What I like best about my job: having the ability to help those who truly are in need. I enjoy arguing with insurance carriers (whether it be at the administrative level or in court) to help prove that their adverse decision was wrong.
Why I became a lawyer: I wanted to be able to help those in need. From the time I was young, it always gave me great satisfaction to help others. Prior to law school, I worked for a social security disability firm, and quickly realized that disability insurance law was the way to go. What better way to help people, then to fight for the benefits to which they are rightfully entitled.
Town/State Born: I was born in New York City, but grew up in Dix Hills, NY
Town/State Live: Westchester, NY
Favorite Food: Pizza
Favorite Hobby: Following my favorite sports teams
Favorite Sports Team: New York Mets / New York Giants
What’s on my bucket list? To travel to as many different countries as possible
